Kiran Hussain is a Solicitor based at our Halifax office who practises in both Criminal Defence and Immigration Law, advising and representing clients across two complex and often interconnected areas of law.
In her criminal defence practice, Kiran regularly represents clients at the Police Station, providing advice and assistance during police interviews and investigations. She ensures that clients receive clear and robust legal advice at the earliest stage of the criminal justice process, safeguarding their rights and guiding them through what can often be a stressful and uncertain situation.
Kiran also works on Crown Court matters, assisting in the preparation and progression of serious and complex cases. Her work includes reviewing case papers, preparing documentation, liaising with counsel, and supporting the development of defence strategies to ensure cases are prepared thoroughly and effectively. She also has experience assisting in Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) proceedings, including matters involving confiscation and asset recovery.
Alongside her criminal practice, Kiran has a strong immigration law practice, advising clients on a wide range of immigration matters. Her work includes visa applications and extensions, family and dependent visas, settlement applications, citizenship matters, and visit visa applications. She provides clear, practical advice tailored to each client’s individual circumstances and works carefully to ensure that applications are prepared thoroughly and presented effectively.
