Saimah Akhtar is a Paralegal within the Criminal Defence Department at Tyler Hoffman Solicitors, where she supports the preparation and progression of Magistrates’ Court matters. She plays an important role in the organisation and management of cases, assisting solicitors in ensuring that matters progress efficiently and that all procedural requirements are met throughout the life of a case.

Her work focuses heavily on the back-end progression of cases, including file management, preparation of documentation, and ensuring that case materials are organised accurately and maintained to a high professional standard. Through her involvement in case preparation, Saimah helps ensure that matters are ready for court and that all relevant administrative and procedural steps have been completed in advance of hearings.

Saimah works closely with solicitors and colleagues across the department, supporting the day-to-day management of cases and helping to maintain effective communication with clients and external parties where required. Her organised and methodical approach assists in ensuring that cases progress smoothly and that the department operates efficiently.

She is currently working towards qualification as a Solicitor through the Solicitors Qualifying Examination route and is also due to commence the Police Station Representative Accreditation Scheme. Through this pathway, Saimah is continuing to develop her legal knowledge and practical experience within criminal defence practice.

 Known for her efficient and organised approach, Saimah is proactive in assisting colleagues and responsive in her dealings with clients. She approaches her work with professionalism and attention to detail, contributing to the smooth running and effective case management of matters within the department.
